Our Mission

During his time as a St. Charles-based health care executive, Kevin Kast watched his staff battle to find senior patients cost-effective, high quality assisted living options within St. Charles County. Unfortunately, many had to relocate to facilities outside of the area.

After he retired, he interviewed seniors and their families about this struggle. Their emotional accounts broke his heart and reinforced his determination to bring quality senior living to the area. Thankfully, he found community leaders who shared in his vision.

After struggling to find a community in St. Charles County for his own father, Tom Hughes, of T.R. Hughes, Inc., joined in Kast’s pursuit. Among others, The Meadowlands is privileged to have Shawn Saale, Dr. Carlos Seuc, Grace Harmon, and Bob Wamhoff to share this mission: To provide exceptional, loving, and healing care to seniors.

The Meadowlands is inspired by local charm and designed with cutting-edge innovations in senior living. The community is surrounded by landscaped courtyards and grounds. It is across the street from T.R. Hughes Ballpark and minutes from shopping, conveniences and medical centers.
